Local Goods
Before we asked anyone, we gave first.
Local Goods exists to put money back into the community around us. Before asking a single person to chip in, we wanted something real to point at — so on August 11, 2026 we walked into Chula Vista Animal Services with food, treats and toys, and paid for all of it ourselves.
That's donation number one. Here's the receipt.
Why we do this
Nothing complicated. Nothing preachy.
Good causes near you rarely fail for lack of good people. They fail for lack of steady, small support. A shelter needs food this month and again next month. A beach cleanup needs bags and hands. A kids' program needs someone who shows up.
Local Goods is built to be that steady, small thing — and to show the work every time.
Four things we fund
-
Beaches
Cleanups and coastal care where we set up.
-
Animals
Food and supplies for local shelters.
-
Youth
Programs for kids in the neighborhood.
-
Arts
Local artists and community art.
Animals came first. The rest are next.
How you'll know it's real
Every donation we make gets written down the same way, with the same three things. No exceptions, no rounding, no "we'll post it later."

Not “a portion of proceeds.” Not “impact varies by location and season.” A name, a day, and a picture.

We put in first, and we'll keep putting in. If you want your name on the next one, give once or $4.95 a month. Every dollar lands on the list with a date, a recipient and a photo.
