Who we are

This website is operated by K Hawk Holdings LLC, doing business as Local Goods, at 13223 Black Mountain Rd, PMB #125, San Diego, CA 92129. In these terms, "we" and "us" mean Local Goods, and "you" means anyone using this site.

By using this site, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it.

What this site is

This site describes what Local Goods does, publishes a record of the donations we have made, and lets you contribute if you choose to. It is not a store. We do not sell products through this website.

Local Goods is a for-profit limited liability company, not a registered charity. Contributions are not tax deductible. The terms that govern contributions are set out separately in our Donation Terms.

Our donation record

We publish each donation with a date, the organization that received it, a description of what was given, and a photograph. We do this because we think claims about giving should be checkable.

We maintain that record in good faith and correct it if we find an error. If you believe something on it is wrong, tell us and we will look into it and fix it if you're right.

Acceptable use

When using this site, you agree not to:

• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to it or to any system behind it
• Probe, scan or test its security without our written permission
• Interfere with its normal operation, or with anyone else's use of it
• Use it to send unsolicited messages, or to harvest contact information
• Misrepresent yourself, or use it for anything unlawful

Our content and trademarks

The text, photographs, logo and design of this site belong to Local Goods or to the people we licensed them from. The Local Goods name and logo are our trademarks. You may not use them to represent yourself as us or to suggest we endorse you.

You are welcome to link to this site, quote from it with attribution, and share our donation record.

Names and logos of other organizations

Our donation record names the organizations that received donations. Naming an organization records a fact — that we gave them something on a particular date. It does not mean they endorse Local Goods, or that we are affiliated with them, unless we say so explicitly.

Links to other sites

Where we link to another organization's website, we do it so you can verify who they are. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content or their privacy practices.

Disclaimers

We provide this site as is. We work to keep it accurate and available, but we don't promise it will be free of errors or never go down.

To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of this site. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you contributed to us in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred US dollars, whichever is greater.

Nothing here limits liability for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Changes

We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in San Diego County, California, and both of us consent to that jurisdiction.
